Beloved Dutch Sesame Street cranky neighbour Mr Aart has passed away Sunday after being in a car crash this Friday. Netherlands will miss him. He used to also do the welcoming and reception of Sinterklaas at his yearly arrivals and was a known friendly face for generations of children.
Aart Staartjes was 81 years old.
His final words in today's (rerun) episode of Sesame Street?
"Het is uit, eindelijk" (the story is over, finally)
