Why does she get credit for Shape of Water?

Can someone please explain why this woman gets all the credit for the film The Shape of Water? She played a very minor supporting role at best, yet most of the talk goes to her. Why no love for the white chick (and yes, I don't even know the white girl's name because no one talks about her).

Really? I wasn't aware that she has ties with Weinstein. Always just thought she was a no name bad actress. What happened with Weinstien?

she appeared in many of his films that made her "respectable" and wore Marchesa everywhere.

LOL! As funny as it sounds, of all the actresses out there, I can't believe Weinstein would want to sleep with her (nor would I!), so I guess it means she has merit...
