Question for Trump fans...

Do you accept the conclusion of law & order officials and investigators that this man staged the attacks?

You do? Great! So do I!

But then will you then accept the conclusions of law & order officials and investigators that Trump is guilty of collusion/obstruction of justice?

You won't? Interesting!

reply

The OP is making logically fallacious assumptions based on his own weak intellect and ignorance.

reply

Yes. This is one of the dumber threads on this site.

reply

I think Trump framed Smollett because Jussie is secretly in league with Putin and trying to take down the country. Once Jussie has turned over the US to Russia, Bill Cosby will be freed, and Jussie, OJ and the Coz will form a triumvirate to rule over America under the direction of the reformed Soviet Union.

reply

Trump probably never even heard of this turd before this incident.

reply

Then how do you explain the pin-stuck voodoo doll with Smollett's actual hair that was found under Trump's pillow by the FBI probe? You're apparently not aware of the Trump / Smollett blood feud that goes back over 10 generations. It all started when Huckleberry Trump swiped them critters that Cletus Smollett spent all day froggin' fer in the crick!

reply

*allegedly swiped

There is compelling evidence that Smollett faked the 'attack' on him. I have yet to see convincing evidence concerning any collusion involving Trump and Putin.

reply

The Mueller report hasn't been delivered yet. I'm asking -- when law enforcement officials make their case in the future, like they have just done with Smollet, will you believe them?

I'm thinking you won't.

reply

If I see solid evidence that Trump did wrong, then yes; I would. I go where the evidence leads me. I'm betting that aside from a few relatively minor procedural offenses, there won't be any such evidence.

BTW, I am not a 'Trump 'fan'. The way I see it, I did not vote for him; I voted against Hillary Clinton.

reply

Former CBS reporter Bernie Goldberg, who is no Trump fan, sees it essentially the same way that I do.

Trump is far, far worse than any of those celebs. You're defending a man who STILL thinks the Central Park Five are guilty. So much for due process and compelling evidence. You're deluded or a nutcase.

Why the name-calling?

I'm not defending Trump at all. I'm saying wait for compelling evidence to be brought out. Just because I haven't formed an opinion does not mean I'm a nutcase.

reply

Lol to these guys he is 100% guilty ... Of 'something' .... Just need to spend another 2 years trying to find/manufacture evidence.

reply

Well, this strawman deserves some sort of award. Wow.

But addressing the totally unrelated subject of "collusion or obstruction", there would have been a time when I would have accepted conclusions of the investigations without questioning, as I did in the Nixon probe.

But leftists have now infiltrated the deepest part of the government, and we now live in an era where a sitting president weaponized the IRS to attack conservative groups.

We have an FBI that was considering disenfranchising millions of voters by looking for a way to remove Trump via some odd interpretation of the 25th amendment.

The leftists are turning the U.S. into the Banana Republic they so desire. I no longer trust the government no matter who the president is.

reply

The IRS was targeting ALL political groups, both left and right, scrutinizing them to make sure they weren't for profit. You're such professional victims. You still believe the fallacy that only conservative groups were targeted. That's how much of an ill-informed moron you are.

And those that were trying to invoke the 25th amendments are lifelong Republicans, hardly leftists.

"The controversy began in 2013 when an IRS official admitted the agency had been aggressively scrutinizing groups with names such as "Tea Party" and "Patriots." It later emerged that liberal groups had been targeted, too, although in smaller numbers."

Ah yes. Insults of intelligence. The hallmark of a lefty. Also, a new account. I wonder whose sock you are.

At least you admit now liberal groups were targeted.

No one ever said the IRS didn't continue to audit random and key-word flagged agencies. All of them. That was an NPR article. I chose a leftist source so I wouldn't have to hear anyone whimpering about using a centrist or rightist source. NPR spun that as good as they could without outright lying.

It's the selective targeting that is the issue and for which the IRS apologized and also settled a court case.

The Central Park Five were exonerated of the actual rape of Trish Melli, but they were still a bunch of violent scumbags who were harassing people in the park and even pounded one into unconsciousness. They confessed to being at the rape but not raping or attempting to murder her. They later retracted the confessions. It's still open whether they retracted at the behest of counsel or if they really were innocent of rape, but they were certainly guilty of terrorizing and physically assaulting numerous random people. The irredeemable piece of trash who confessed to the rape, Matias Reyes, was serving a life sentence and had nothing to lose. In an earlier trial, a psychiatrist testified in HIS defense that Reyes was incapable of telling the truth. Of course, after his confession it was convenient for many to assume he was telling the truth in asserting he acted alone, despite the confessions of the CP5 of having been present.

The CP5, even if technically not guilty of rape, are worthless stains on the human race and didn't deserve a penny from their civil suits. I don't feel the least bit sorry for them. They were fortunate that an idiot like Bill de Blasio saw fit to use them for political points and pushed for a settlement of 41 million. Trump is right that there still is a ton of evidence against these creeps, including consistencies among their original, independently obtained confessions that show they all knew way too much not to have been at least present at the rape. The Armstrong Report, whose authorship included a civil rights lawyer (Michael Armstrong) who made his name prosecuting police corruption, concluded that the most likely scenario was that the ultimately convicted rapist (Reyes) didn't act alone and that he probably arrived and raped the dying girl after the CP5 had their way with her. Good for Trump for not ignoring all the other evidence and analysis. He smartly did not take the serial lying rapist Reyes at his word.

Deep State LOL you conspiracy theorists. Or just a Bannon parrot?

"and we now live in an era where a sitting president weaponized the IRS to attack conservative groups"

That is an exaggeration.

MODERN REALITY: Trump threatened the NFL with tax penalties if they didn't stop the players from kneeling. He said this in a Tweet.

You are obviously very partisan and don't know WTF you're talking about.

reply

Oh and heres something super recent... Trump so angry over SNL that he wanted RETRIBUTION. For comedy.

He is AGAIN attacking free speech. This is the Constitution-shredding dictator that YOU happily endorse, and if you knew any better, youd be ashamed of yourself.

Teacher says schools need more money. I don't buy it. Teacher says schools have enough. Might be onto something.

I wonder if the direction of bias has anything to do with it.

1 has visual evidence, with a visual trail of events, a preposterous setup scenario, and has occam's razor so sharp you can stick it in between megalith blocks.

The other is a tinfoil hat conspiracy created by our corrupt AF government, that blatantly plays on the populace's stupidity, to keep crazy violent progressives from rioting in the streets over the butthurt of a duly elected President that they hate because they've been brainwashed by the media...

and it isn't working very well: see antifa.

reply

In other words, when it suits my politics, it's a conspiracy -- when it doesn't suit my politics, it's not a conspiracy.

reply

Yeah, no. Nice try tho.

Democrats are already preparing their flock for a disappointing Mueller report. Pay attention to their recent shift in tone and verbiage about it. That will continue in the coming days.
