Absolutely brilliant as Moriarty.

People are dogging him but I absolutely love his performance as Moriarty. Those are my favorite episodes. Now I want to see him in other shows and films just to get a different side of him.

I'm glad you loved his performance! And I think it's a good thing everyone has a strong opinion about Moriarty because that's the best compliment one can get - worst would be if he had no effect whatsoever and people wouldn't react at all.

If you're looking for films where you can see a different side of Andrew, I can highly recommend you to watch 'Pride'. Incredibly lovely film and Andrew plays a very subtle and gentle person in it.
Another one would be the short film 'Silent Things'.

Thanks for this reply. Are you connected with Andrew at all? If so... please convey to him how amazing I think his performance is. I'm not usually a "fan mail" person, but if I knew where to write to him, I would absolutely draft a letter telling him of my admiration for his talent. What a complex character, and brilliantly done.

I would recommend "The Stag / The Bachelor Weekend" as another film with Andrew. And if you want to write him - take a look at http://www.sherlockology.com/cast/andrew-scott

Unfortunately, I'm not connected to him at all but also a huge admirer of his work. But I have also been longtime thinking about writing him a letter just to tell him what his work makes me feel, so thank you alveni for the link. And I agree, 'The Stag' is also briliant and although it's a comedy very touching at times.

To me "The Stag" was very moving being very funny :-)

BTW, if you have an opportunity to meet him - go for it. He's such a darling in direct contact.

You have no idea how much I'd love to!!! But I'm an acting student living in Switzerland and I do not have any money (and I mean it!), so I simply cannot afford to travel to Britain, otherwise I'd of course go and watch the play 'The Dazzle' which starts on December 13, 2015. If you've got the opportunity, go and watch it! I'd give nearly anything to being able to watch my favourite actor in a play or meet him, but I can't, so I'll be keeping on watching and enjoying the movies he's in I'm able to watch.

But I'm equally jelaous and happy for you that you've managed to meet him!

God, I hate him.
