I couldn't take my eyes off Amanda Schull in "Center Stage" and always wondered why she didn't continue to act. She performed remarkably well in the film, in a lead role no less, for someone who hadn't really done much acting. I guess she just loved ballet that much, and wanted to continue dancing, which shows she has integrity. She didn't go for the quick cash that Hollywood surely would have offered her and instead decided to work at her craft. Now that she has "retired" from ballet, I'm glad to see she's finding steady work as an actress. She's certainly captivating and very talented.

Now I'm not a big fan of ballet or even dance in general, but I love films like "Center Stage" that take you "behind the scenes" of an industry or subculture. If you're interested, "The Company", starring Neve Campbell is another film that takes a serious look at what it means to be a dancer and put together a show.

Couldn't agree more. Very attractive and seemingly a natural. Surprised she doesn't work more often.

After seeing her in Suits I felt obliged to come here, expecting to find a thread like this. She is one of the most beautiful women I have ever seen, hands down.

Yes, though I'm surprised there isn't more traffic here. My guess is that her ballet career kept her out of the mainstream spotlight so it may seem as if she is just starting an acting career. We've seen more of her since she retired from the San Francisco ballet in 2006 and I hope we see more of her in the future. She's gorgeous and has a lot of on-screen charisma.
