I live in France and the movie will be released on September the 30th. It's strange coz' I've read quite a lot of positive reviews.I'm still going to see it,though.Big fan of Matthias. Thanks for your review (7/10 is quite a generous grade for a "dull" movie).

Sounds like the type of role he excels in. Sorry to hear you found the movie dull. That would make his cinematic year even more lacklustre after "Suite Française", "Far from the Madding Crowd" and "A Little Chaos" (there had to be a good reason for all these 2014 releases to get postponed...) Have little faith in "A Bigger Splash" and "The Danish Girl" as well (although the latter will be an Oscar player).

I think Disorder is a return to form for Matthias even though I have some sympathies with the OP about the film as a whole. His character Vincent is like Jacky from Bullhead and Alain from Rust and Bone; wounded muscularity. I didn't care for Diane Kruger in the film and felt little chemistry between her and Matthias. The film had promise but the story was irritatingly ambiguous and sometimes I wonder if this is a criticism of the film writer/producer.

Glad to hear that. So, I understand this is in the UK right now? Might get to see it in a few weeks.

"Inglourious Basterds" is the only thing I've ever liked her in, tbh.

It was in the UK on limited release. I didn't mind Kruger in IB or Special Forces, where she played the journalist who developed a love interest in Benoît Magimel's character. She and Magimel had good chemistry on screen. I might give her a pass with this film in that the script was obtuse and she may have struggled to shape a character written so bare.
