Was supposed to be Niki in 'Hardcore'

Director Paul Schrader said he wanted her for the role of prostitute, Niki, but the studio head vetoed that and wanted Season Hubley instead. I guess it was supposed to be a compliment but Paul Schrader said he thought Season was too pretty to play that role. I guess Diana Scarwid was ugly enough to play the part, LOL.

I also thought that's why adult film actress, Marilyn Chambers, lost out for the part, because they felt she was too pretty to play a streetwalker.
