Jaw-dropping performance in The Killing

That final episode Peter acting was one of the greatest acting i have ever seen ever.

Agreed. Just saw it last night and came here to check if he won any wards for it. He was brilliant!

When I watched 6 Minutes, I cried like a baby. That was probably the best piece of acting that I have ever scene in my life. And what pained me most is the fact that such fine acting was given a royal Emmy snub. Yeah The Killing was an amazing show and Enos and Kinnaman were BAMF as a team but if any one deserved an nomination was Peter for that one episode. Truly talented. And I'm just watching Garden State and felt like heading over to this board to see if that role hit the spot for anyone else. Guess it just took seeing his face to remind me of the injustice done to Ray Seward.

Yes yes and thrice yes!

I've always thought he was good in everything I've seen him in but this performance was stellar. The storyline, and particularly the culmination of it in the episode '6 Minutes', was already enough to stir emotions in all but the most cold-hearted of viewers but Sargaard's performance absolutely uncorked the tears for me.

Sarsgaard really took me on a journey with this character during the series. I went through every emotion watching the Ray Seward character, starting from mild dislike though hatred to loathing then ultimatly to empathy and with that final episode I just went competely, tears trembling everything. I'm 38 years old and I can't recall ever being so moved by a portrayal of a character - and it was down to Sarsgaard.

It was certainly a performance worthy of the highest recognition.

His performance just blew me away. I was so completely into his character that when my cellphone rang I almost leapt 2 feet in the air! What a find.
