She seems to have a lot of interracial roles on the screen.

I like Zoe Saldana. I think she's a pretty good actress. What I'm gonna say is not racist, but you're probably going to think it is because any time someone brings up race, a lot of people assume that person is racist. So go ahead and assume I just some racist trying to make some backhanded subtle (or not so subtle to those who see smoke where there isn't fire) bigoted remarks, but I'm telling you right now, I'm only racist against people who hurt animals and other people for fun.
I just want to know why Zoe seems to have the most interracial on-screen roles in movies. Did she tell her agent that she prefers this? Does she prefer white men in general? I'm just wondering because I don't see a lot of black women in movies with love interests who are not also noticeably black. Any interviews or quotes would be appreciated. It is a strict matter of curiosity.

She's bi-ethnic, due to the fact of her Hispanic origins. Father is Dominican and mom is Puerto Rican. You can go to either islands and see dark skin men with white skin women, and vice versa with white men with black women on those two islands. How do i know this? I'm Puerto Rican, and if you look at me from a distance you could consider me a white dude, but my sister same mother and father and she came out dark skinned, and looks more ethnic. So Zoe melds into the mode because she has a very mixed background of African, Spanish and most likely a huge mix of Taino native in her blood.

So with that in thought she is a beautiful actress, that play plenty of roles and doesn't appear very fickle on who her costar is. That's my take, good day.

I would say that she is a more versatile actress because she can play several roles that include black, interracial and other possible ethnic cultures. SZ also fit the physical characteristics that society or Hollywood typically likes to see in women and Hollywood actresses, as well as portrayed in interracial relationships. In addition, it is also due to her fame from Avator, which helped her career as an actress.

the fact you have to insist you're not racist displays a certain amount of guilt, but you don't sound smart enough to see that.

I'm a white guy who loves black/dark women, so I like the pairing and it's not commonly seen in media, maybe they are targeting my demographic, or maybe it's just casting.

Regarding that first part of your post, you can just go to hell!! I don't have patience for *beep* *beep* like that!!!

Zoe Saldana is a cross-over actress. She's one of the few women of color that can be cast in non-traditional black roles. Hence the reason for her having white love interests. Unfortunately a lot of black women actors are relegated to the Tyler Perry fare and haven't been able to do the cross-over. Even for black male leads like Denzel or Will if they do infact cast a black actress as their love interest her part is usually large.

I'm Black and don't consider your question or comments racist. I never really thought about it but now that you have mentioned it it's true. Most of her male love interest in film have been White and she seems to only date White men. Personally, I don't care but others may.

Unfortunately, no one here can answer that question. But, it would seem as if she does ask for her boyfriends and husbands to be White.

As I typed this I thought about the movie Constellation. It is one of few movies where she has had a Black boyfriend (Hill Harper). There is also Drum Line with Nick Cannon.

I think she was also fond of a black guy in Center Stage, but I was under the impression he was gay. I'll have to watch it again.
I think it's cool that she's into mixing. I'd do it myself, but I don't have very good luck with my love life right now (not that my girlfriend would have to be ethnically different). I did have an African American girlfriend, but things just sort of fell apart.
I'm gonna see if I can rewrite the topic title and opening post to seem less hostile.

Oh please the point of acting is to act. Any black actor can be paired with whomever, white Hollywood is all about who you know Saldana just has a lot of white connections from her white suitors in real life while most black actresses date black men.
