This is from a Kimberley Locke (American Idol) fan,..............

Now I've been reading these threads lately about Sara Rue's doing Jenny Craig and doing those commercials with Valerie Bertinelli and I can see that the majority of you are not pleased about her decision. I've read comments like "Sara just look better big" or "I hope she doesn't get TOO skinny" and stuff like that. Beleive it or not, I'm in the same boat with you and honestly, I'm not too thrilled about it either. And it's safe to say that I WAS once in YOUR shoes. I don't know if you watch Idol or not, but I've been a HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE fan of Kimberley Locke since season 2!! I've followed her career with regularity, I even have THREE ALBUMS!!!! IMHO she's an AMAZING singer. What also attracted me to her was that she wasn't one of those skinny stick thin starlets we see on TV, movies and magazines everyday!! She was a Curvy woman!! She even modeled for Lane Bryant!! I was SO happy that she was embracing her curves!! Then in 2006, Celebrity Fit Club came up, and when I heard that SHE was gonna be on that show, my heart sank, I was in a panic, I was emotionnally out of control. I was at a point when I been bawling THAT SATURDAY morning in November after I heard the news!! Whenever I looked at her old Lane Bryant ad I would BREAK DOWN!!!!! I felt like my heart was broken!! I kept protesting that she was never that big!! I've ALWAYS felt she wasn't that big!!! I didn't know what to think. But then when Kimberley explained that she was doing the show to be healthier, I've got some kind of an understanding, but still deep down I wanted her to stay big. But an online friend of mine game me a wake-up call to reality check about Luther Vandross. She told me that his weight fluctuations along with diabetes took away his life. She told me that I shouldn't wish her poor health just to satisfy my OWN "selfish" needs. She said that should wish Kimberley better health and support her in her weight loss journey. Long story short, I've cheered her on, I've supported her as a TRUE fan, and yes, she lost weight, but she's STILL curvy, just HEALTHY curvy. To you Sara Rue fans, if you REALLY love her and you're REALLY are fans, support her in her decision. She's doing this for HERSELF!!! I know it's lengthy, but I hope this should drive the message home.
