Her premise came off as not very well thought through. I can dig a plea to Hollywood bosses to finance more diverse stories and I'm well informed of the psychological damage inherent in minority children only having white archetypes to aspire to thus underscoring the need for feature films of the likes of an Obatala, Anansi, Gasper Yanga, Osun or even her Luz/She character. Unfortunately in her rush to skedaddle from TMZ, her solicitation came off as an attack rather than encouragement.

Clearly this prompted persons harboring an axe to grind much like yourself to hone in on Black actors in traditionally Caucasian roles. Something she didn't mention at all and in fact there are too few instances of it to even be considered a pc agenda.

Personally, I judge on a case by case basis:
-Ethnically Mexican ESL Lynda Carter is the definitive Wonder Woman to me.
-Michael B Jordan doesn't offend me as Johnny Storm.
-Marlon Wayans would have re-defined Dick Grayson/Robin if Burton stayed attached to the franchise.
-No to Elba as Bond, its a total pander to celebrity fandom but I could digest Chiwetel Ejiofor in the role.
-Hate that the Persians are POC when portrayed as the villains (300) then Caucasian when heroes (Prince of Persia). Thats that Bulls hit!

So what Lynda Carter is of Mexican descent? Hispanics come in all races, and Carter happens to be white. BFD.

The Johnny Storm thing is stupid because his biological sister is white. If they made both Johnny and Sue black, that would be one thing, but to make full-blooded siblings two different races is pandering. Why not make Mr. Fantastic black? Or the Thing? That was just stupid.

And there are awesome superheroes who are black and no one cares. Spawn anyone? Now that's a movie that should be rebooted!

Clearly you did not read Personally, I judge on a case by case basis:

I listed cases where a minority acted in the traditionally white role and my personal (as in only for me) judgement thereof.

You retorted

First the discussion is about MRod's comments regarding minorities in traditionally white superhero roles. Both MRod and Lynda Carter are Latino and arguably persons of color.
TO ME CARTER (a Latino minority in a traditionally white superhero role) IS THE DEFINITIVE WONDER WOMAN. SO whats your BFD.

The Johnny Storm thing is stupid because his biological sister is white. If they made both Johnny and Sue black, that would be one thing, but to make full-blooded siblings two different races is pandering. Why not make Mr. Fantastic black? Or the Thing? That was just stupid.
You have an issue with it, I do not. In fact voicing your issue with it is completely powerless to change my mind about it. Kick rocks.

People that are of Latin, Hispanic decent are NOT considered "people of color". It is considered a "category of linguistic and ethnic heritage, not an official "race" of its own."

Besides, you have to be completely stupid or blind to think Lynda Carter is anything but white. I don't know who you're trying to fool -- maybe yourself?

What? Quite a number of people of hispanic/latin decent ARE people of color. Your comment makes no sense, you even contradict yourself with the Lynda Carter being white comment.

It's very simple she's a white Latino just like Christina Milian is a Black latino. What's your point again?
