Both born in the UK in 1964 and one month apart, the similarities between these two actors is haunting. Their onscreen presence, candor, and stature are nearly identical. I enjoy both actors' works and I hope to see their careers advance. By the way, Roache was a great Thomas Wayne and his portrayal of the 'perfect dad' made his death and Bruce's descent into obsession that much more believable.

While watching it, I kept wondering if Thomas Wayne was being played by Jake Weber! I've only seen Mr. Weber in the Dawn of the Dead remake. It's uncanny how they resemble each other. I'm glad somebody else thinks this, too! Of course, they both even have a passing resemblance to Tim Roth, as well.
And I totally agree with your statement about Roache's T. Wayne and how we now get to see exactly what Bruce lost. In other Batman movies, we see that his parents are taken from him, but in Batman Begins, I actually felt the loss.
