This guy gives me a weird vibe . . .

I first saw him years ago in a mission impossible movie and I immediately didn’t like him. There is something about him that seems dark and creepy to me. That was my first reaction . . .not the character he was playing but the actor himself, I was like, that’s a bad guy. So weird I don’t have that feeling very often but it was purely intuitive, I have nothing to base it on.

reply

Well he did play Jeffrey Dahmer in a movie.

reply

I recently saw that . . .he was perfectly chosen for the role of a psychopath *shivers*

reply

Always thought so to. I don't think he has that "it factor" big actors do and I never trusted why he was always pushed so hard to be a movie star. Square peg in a round hole and they just keep sticking him in big movies.

reply

I don't know that he's a leading man, but he was great in American Hustle and Arrival.

reply

I liked his Bourne movie. He's okay in the right sort of role.

reply

He was perfectly cast in The Town.

The guy just oozed on-the-edge psychopath.

reply

Oh, and Hurt Locker. He was great in Hurt Locker. In that he's the lead, but it's not a typical "leading man" role, so I'm still not convinced the dude is the type to lead movies.

reply

Totally agreed. Hurt Locker was an interesting film that fit his idiosyncrasies perfectly.

reply

Yes they really pushed him hard. He must have a powerful agent and be shaking the right hands.

reply

You mean suckin' the right D.

reply

Yeah, he'd be better off as a character actor who plays villains, middle managers, thugs, and other roles where the character is supposed to be unlikable. He just doesn't have whatever it is that makes millions or billions of people like an actor... unlike a lot of his Marvel castmates.

But you know who gives me a far worse vibe? Bradley Cooper. Renner just seems like someone I wouldn't like, when I see Cooper's cold blue eyes I start wondering how many bodies there are under the cement floor of his basement.

reply

OMG lol at Bradley Cooper’s dead eyes! There’s got to be something to that. Intuition is a legitimate power I think, just like animals who can ‘smell’ fear, some people can sense the darkness in others.

There was this guy at my workplace that used to stop whatever he was doing and bow to me at the waist when he saw me and it was super weird of course and people kept talking about how he probably had bodies in his basement and I would have agreed with them, it would be easy to, but I felt this scared and innocent vibe coming off of him and I knew immediately that he was on the spectrum. Not that autistic people can’t have bad intentions, there’s just a difference in vibe.

Compared to a really popular guy at work who seemed charming but it was so surface level and to me obviously trying to compensate for something, it really is like a scent, I think women are better at detecting it through evolution and choosing who we’ll sleep with to procreate.

reply

Ha, to date his best role is still as the homicidal gangster in The Town, so you're not wrong about that.

reply

He has psychopath eyes, and looks like a hillbilly redneck.

reply

Like Matt Schulze.

reply

People who should be giving you weird vibes are

Steven Spielberg
Will Smith
Stephen Colbert
The Kardashians
Cher
Jay Z
Beyonce
Ellen

and a host of others

Nothing wrong with Renner from my point of view.

reply

I never liked Ellen. She uses what I call 'bully humor' getting laughs at the expense of someone else, making fun of people has never been funny to me. David Letterman did it too. What did Stephen Colbert do?
