Honestly Tom Cruise is doing more damage to Scientology than Leah.

Granted I don't know the exact details of his personal life, but if the tabloids are to be believed he's abandoned his young daughter due to his religion. I really didn't care what he believed or care about those creepy speeches that he did, but if he abandoned his young daughter he's no better than my own father, and he's Tom Cruise, he should have known better. But it's possible those stories aren't true, it is widely reported though.

Didn't Cruises own father leave him? He's talked about how his sisters and his mom raised him because his dad left. Kind of ironic that he's done the same thing to his kids and forced Nicole Kidman's kids not to have any contact with her

Nicole had said in print that she still has contact with their children but they're both adults with their own lives. Their daughter didn't invite either parent (or her husbands parents) to their wedding. Maybe they felt raised by the Church instead of by their parents. People tend to stress how children are treated as just small adults in Scientology .

And, Tom is in contact with his daughter with Katie Holmes if the new stories are correct. He sends a private plane for her and her nanny and they fly to the U.K. He uses a private use airport to limit the paparazzi access.

reply

Yes I noticed that after 3 to 4 years of no contact with his daughter and to coincide with the show being on he all the sudden started seeing his daughter again. interesting.

Cruise has always had use of private planes but that never stopped him from being photographed by paparazzi, whether he wanted them around or not. During his marriage to Katie Holmes, he had no problem with being publicly seen with his daughter so I don't understand the logic of suddenly hiding her away from cameras. One would think that to combat the negative press he's received for being/appearing as a uncaring father, he'd be eager to show that he has an active, committed relationship with Suri.

Bella and Conor went from having a happy and close relationship with Nicole Kidman to a distant one for no apparent reason EXCEPT for Scientology's disconnection (shunning) policy. They've been indoctrinated to view her as a bad, worthless person (a "suppressive person" or "SP", to use Scientology lingo). I believe in the idea, "if there's a will, there's a way". Don't tell me that you are "too busy" to keep in contact with the ones you love. If family is a priority, you will ACT like it. It doesn't matter how old someone is, how many responsibilities s/he is juggling or how far away they live. Someone will find the time and the means to maintain a frequent connection (preferably in person). Bella and Conor are now adults and can decide for themselves if they want to engage with either Nicole. It seems that they're more loyal to the cult of Scientology (they'r'e still members of it) than respecting Nicole as their mom.

I don't believe the reports. It's likely a PR game being played to soothe public outrage. Cruise is still a thoughtless, self-centred wanker who loves only two things unconditionally: his career and Scientology.

reply

I believe he's either afraid, or stupid.

I won't pay for his movies, or those of John Revolta, or any other jerk in that cult. Oh, and I believe all religions are cult-ish, and derived from cults.
