When he passed away....

I remember talking to someone about it and they were like "Who?". Then I started to name some of his roles and got a "Oh him." This repeated several times. I realized he was a very prolific actor but barely anyone knew his name.

I’ve known his name a long time, back to the late 1980s. I am presently rewatching Homeland (which he is in) and came here and was shocked to see one post. Shocked that nothing made it to here from the IMDB forums as we had nice discussions on there about James before and after he passed. I wanted to re-read some of them...such great commentary on his stellar work. My favorite being his role in From The Earth To The Moon. He was fabulous in that though was just one or two episodes.

Sadly a lot of great actors/actresses have no message board action around here. Most of the discussions seem to be based on individual films only.

He was one of those guys who was always good. Another guy like that was Jason Bernard. Several years ago I was thinking that I hadn't seen him in anything lately, checked out IMDB and he died in the mid-90s. Bummer.
