There are models for all kinds.

Sometimes fashion designers want models to work as a clothes rack, which means they can wear the clothes without affecting the clothes' natural looks with their own body features, so they prefer models that are tall, have proper walking posture, and extremely thin.

Check out photo 84 on his home page. It must have been taken around the same time that he was modeling. It has a very haunting quality to it. He looks like a model to me in this photo.

Maybe it was runway. If you pay attention to runway models you can see a lot of them aren't too attractive. It's more about the body than the face.

Don't know about walking posture, but DJ's got the market cornered on being tall and (above all) THIN. I love this guy but I was just as shocked as the first poster when I found out he was a model. But what you've said makes sense.

I looked up his model photos. I think he looks awesome in this one pic at least :)

To be an ideal model, you have to be tall and thin. Male models MUST be 6 feet tall so the clothes can fit them on the runway or in print pictures. At least on the runway, clothes can't be altered to fit individual physique, and if you are modelling a suit or jeans in print, YOU must fit the clothes.

It's odd, but true - you don't have to actually be pretty, or attractive, or good-looking, too, to be a model now. Designers often LOOK for oddities. You can be downright ugly, but they will work around that with makeup and styling, and you will attract notice, stand out more than just another pretty face! True!
