What's up with the smirking on That '70s Show?

The way she would smirk and laugh during and after every line when she was clearly not supposed to irritated me to no end. I didn't realise this when I was younger!

Luckily, shas improved so much as an actress since judging by her performance on Orange Is the New Black.

It's an ordinary high school day. Except that it's not.

I never thought her facial expressions were inappropriate during any scenes. Basically, she smirked and laughed after saying funny lines and in humorous situations; it's not like she was laughing in sad or serious scenes. I can see why it would be annoying, but the character of Donna is supposed to be a tomboy so maybe it's just good acting to be a little odd and unconventional.

Mila kunis did this as well. Fit really well with the show I thought

That 70s show did this thing where the characters laughed at each other when they were being funny. It's more realistic than sitcoms where every single thing a person says is a joke and their friends have no reaction.

um, it's in her character?

I know what you mean. So annoying. She's the only actor I would have replaced on that show.
