"I believe in God and the divine"

Always feels like a jab in the gut when someone gives credit to a deity for having a fortunate career making millions of dollars. As if a divine being would knowingly lead him down that successful path, yet let many thousands of faithful christians die in the most horrible ways possible. At the very same time, mind you. What brainwashed sort of idiotic thinking is that? Boggles the mind.

If you are saying said divine being should interfere with His creation, making it so nobody suffers for wrongdoing, I would find that incorrect.

How on earth does that even remotely relate to what I wrote?

You said that "As if a divine being would knowingly lead him down that successful path, yet let many thousands of faithful christians die in the most horrible ways possible."
The way that I took that is "Why does God help the big guys, and not His own followers?"
So you are saying that for it to be equal, God should help everybody, thus some people don't pay the consequences of their actions. Things play out the way they do because of what people do and have done, yes people may be in captivity, murdered and the like, but God did not put them there, nor did He put Chris Pratt where he is now, things lined up for Cris Pratt because of his, and others actions. If God DIRECTLY interfered, He would be taking away one of His greatest gifts to mankind, our free will.

Ok. I should have known I was dealing with a religious nutcase the moment I saw what bizarre conclusion you took away from my first post.

I always had a problem with people surviving a tornado or hurricane...fire...whatever...telling reporters..."God/The Good Lord, saved me"...so why didn't he save the 100 people that died?..
