Smoker

Sounded like a rusty chainsaw in her later years.

Wasn't almost everyone in the world a smoker in her heyday?

reply

Well based on Mad Men I would say yes.

She certainly liked chugging back the darts in The Birds. God she was hot in that movie.

Check her out in "A Distant Trumpet". No smoking, though, except her smoking hot looks.

👌 I need to see that movie.

If you like big epic westerns with huge battles against Indians, and Suzanne Pleshette, it's a must see.

I reckon that she looks her best in 'A Distant Trumpet.' She's better than anything else in the movie.

I love her in 'The Birds.' I reckon Hitchcock killed off the wrong woman again in that.

She always did have a husky voice. That was part of her appeal. Some say that's why she didn't get the parts she deserved. I can't say I've heard her later chainsaw voice delivery. I prefer to remember the performances of her early days.

She had a sexy voice. Most adults smoked in the 1950s when she was growing up. I just saw her in an episode of "The Bob Newhart Show" that was made when she was forty. Wow, she was gorgeous.
