She's still acting?

I don't get it. I basically only know her from Doctor Who, but from what I saw she can't act at all in my opinion. Not to mention she was the most unattractive companion there ever was. Never will understand how she lasted so long. I have always loved Doctor Who, but she almost made me stop watching it. Hopefully I will never see her in anything again.

Just a matter of taste, but she was my favorite Who companion. I found her adorable and believable. In my suspension of disbelief world, it always seemed to me she was pretty high up on the Doctor's list also.
BTW, if you decide to never watch Penny Dreadful, you'll be missing out on a really good show.

I've heard that, but I simply can not stand her. I'm guessing that the British people have a whole different standard of beauty than we here in America do. Part of my problem I think is just that. People kept calling her this great beauty, which of course started turning me. But she really can't act in my opinion. There were a few times where she seemed to let go. I guess the b est way to say it, is that she forgot whop she was, and became the character, and was seeing and living what she was portraying. But the rest of the time she seemed to be trying to hard, like she couldn't grasp the part. I don't want to say wooden, because that isn't accurate exactly. Admittedly however, I am a royal pain in the rear end to please. I'm one of those that if they ever make the Doctor female, I'm walking. Almost walked over the Master and that already.

I know, right??? It's like, what does she have on the casting agents?

She's a phenomenal stage actress. Her screen acting is okay, but theatre is where her talents clearly lie. Her performance in Yerma is one of the most extraordinary performances of recent years, and rightly being acknowledged as such. She's almost certainly going to get another Olivier nomination for the role.

She's my favorite DR Who companion. You have no taste.
