Nova Pilbeam: Nova Pilbeam. Actress: Young and Innocent. Nova Pilbeam was a famous child actress on stage and screen in the UK. Her biggest successes were her two movies directed by Alfred Hitchcock: The Man Who Knew Too Much (1934) and this film. She married director Pen Tennyson in 1939, but unfortunately she was widowed less than two years later when he died in WWII. She retired from movies in 1951.
