On her twitter feed, she stated she was in LA for pilots season, which implies she's gonna drop out if she gets cast in something out here. Of course, if she's filming in New York, she could still go.

pilot season only last a few weeks, plus there aren't as many shows being done - she probably only tried out for a few shows. Get real. Her mom's a teacher - she'd never let Emily drop out of school.

She's certainly an adult, and she has her money and control over her affairs now. Did Haley ever finish his degree?
Guessing she's hoping to land a show. That's the only reason why you would shoot a pilot. She's still fairly famous, so she has an edge in the audition process.
Not quite sure why it would necessarily mean she was dropping out (after all, many actors work and go to school at the same time. I mean, last I heard, she was/is a theater major, so it would make sense she was working, expanding her skill set, etc.) And that's a good point about her still being famous/has a foot in the door.
She seems pretty focused on her studies, so I really don't see any definite reason why she would.
Then again, don't see any particular reason she wouldn't drop out...
School diverts your earning ability in this rare case. Unless she transfers, she really can't do both a LA TV series and college in NY.

Except she goes to school in California already. She's never attended school in NY. She's been playing all sorts of music gigs in LA recently
shareLanding a gig as a regular on a series would be more useful to her than a degree in Theatre. Take the work while you can get the work. School will always be there when the work dries up as it inevitably will in this business for 99% of actors.
