His hands

Is there something wrong with Bill Nighy's hands? I first noticed they were like claws in 'The Men's Room' but thought that was part of the character he was playing. However, I've just seen 'The Second Best Marigold Hotel' and his hands were again like claws. I can't imagine any woman wanting to be caressed by them!

This was in the trivia section:

Has Dupuytren's Contracture, a hereditary condition which causes the ring and little fingers of each hand to be permanently bent inwards towards the palm.

His hands are a part of his unique character and I, personally, can't imagine any woman who would turn him down. He's more than just his hands and he comes across as an incredibly intelligent, well spoken, respectful gent. Any woman would be lucky to be a part of his life.

I'm 35 and I would date him in a heart beat.

It's nice to be nice to the nice.

So it's not a condition? It's the equivalent of Christopher Walken's mysterious accent?

I also have Dupetryns or Vikings Disease. It's awful to live with.

There are treatment options. One of them is a medication called Xiaflex which dissolves the cords. It doesn't solve the problem (because it's genetic) but it is treatable.

Thank you. I haven't heard of this medication. I've had at least 4 surgeries and I'm just about ready to see a doctor for my latest flares. I'll bring this up.
