Makes me sad to consider that Theresa Randle (of "Girl 6" "fame") may have left the business because of encounters like that. And even sadder that the truth may never come out in most cases as everyone affected by such experiences usually keep their mouths shut.

Yes, and perhaps someone took offense to my comment about Hollywood being dominated by sexist and misandrist women who want to take over from men and deludedly think they would do a better job. If Newton was uncomfortable about being asked to re-enact pleasuring herself for an audition, in front of a slimy producer or whatever, she could have had some gumption and walked out. Was she naïve? Why would she denigrate herself and then blame males later? That is only passing the buck.

I believe she stated that she was 16 years old. Look, I'm as non-pc as most any guy out there but you don't get to be both rational about the very real differences between men and women and that myopic when it comes to the protection of young ladies. You have to pick one trait or the other because the two together... will just make you as ass.

What is your confounded point? If what Newton said is true, then she just learned at a young age what a deceiving, conniving and manipulating place the world can be at times. This sort of behavior happens in many arenas, and not just the film industry. If she wants to cry about sexual abuse and for the cause of women that need protecting, then the same can be said about young men too, who would have experienced similar things to get a role. They just don't tend to complain as much.

PREACH! exactly this is just feeding into victim culture that we have today with blinds attention to the fact that these people don't want to take accountability for their actions .She could of just as easily got up and left and the fact that she stayed destroys all credibility .Hollywood feeds of this vulnerability and insecurity there is not and ounce of moral fiber that exists in hollywood its very faustian.

She stayed working in the industry because she wanted a career, like most actresses do, and because she was young and naive and didn't realize at the time how she was being taken advantage of. Why should she have had to quit and walk away from a career she was working so hard to get because of something some slimy a**hole did? And what the hell does this have to do with some "victim culture" bull****? Why aren't you holding the dude who harassed her responsible for HIS actions? If you've read anything about Hollywood and how actresses are treated in the biz, stories of sexual harassment like hers are way too common----it's been the norm for decades, sadly. She was a victim in this case, but yet you're blaming her for what happened, when she didn't even know that this sleazy bastard would use her audition tape as basically a porn film? I mean, come the hell on!I did see an interview she did a couple of years ago where she talked about running into a producer with her husband at a party, and that said producer suddenly acted nervous around her---as it turned out, he'd seen her tape--which she didn't even know had been passed around like that until years later, btw.

I also don't understand why the hell people are so damn quick lately to claim that any actress (like, more recently Rose McGowan, for example) talking about sexual harassment is just making s*** up. That's the same kind of attitude which let sexual harassment go on unchecked---just dismissing any actress's account as "just wanting attention", or some such BS like that. It's not gaining her or anybody else anything to make anything like that up. That kind of BS has been going on in show business for decades---since more women are getting into power positions other than acting in Hollywood, they can call out that s*** out more, but still at the risk of their own careers---read about what happened to two female cinematographers who sued actor Casey Affleck for sexual harassment--they actually won their case--something that dosen't happen that often:
