Anyone feel that Kiera Knightly sabotaged Parminder's career

This is why i feel happened. Either that or Parminder didnt make the right moves.

So when Bend it like Beckham came out and the movie was making huge waves and a big british hit and in my mind Parminder was the main lead and Kiera, character was just playing a side kick role with minimu screen time. And when the movie was starting to cross over to the US waters, i remember seeing all the interviews on the major news channels like abc, nbs were about Kieras character. I never saw Parminder in any of them and the rest as you say is history.

Im not sure if that was all Kiera being shady or maybe Kiera's agent doing a good job. But not once was there anything about Parminder. A few weeks later Kiera then bagged Piates of the Caribean starring Johnny Depp and the rest as you say is history.

I feel bad for Parminder that she could have been huge..

Wikipedia cites the director's commentary for the first Pirates movie, saying that Keira auditioned for the role and he hadn't seen Bend It Like Beckham when he picked her. Parminder may not have ended up a box office star like Keira, but she was on ER for 6 years, that's gotta count for something, right?

WRONG. Kiera was unknown until she landed Bend it like Beckham. She then got her self alkl the abc, cbs interviews where she made it look like she was the main lead. She lied..

I doubt very much that Keira sabotaged Parminder's career, I think it's just that it's more difficult to get decent roles if you're a non-white actress.

Exactly what I thought. I thought Parminder was incredible on the Blacklist. This is the only explanation I can come to for her not doing so well generally. It was a real loss when they killed her off at the end of season 1.

Lets be frank, Kiera is a blue-eyed blonde haired actress and it is what Hollywood wants and it is easier to get roles when ones coloring is such and beautiful Parminder is of Indian descent. I believe there are more roles for the blue-eyed blonde actress than beautiful Parminder, just saying. But I do think Parminder is a wonderful actress in her own right. No, I'm not being racist, it is the truth.
