I always loved this actor until he took the role of Nagen

There is evil in this man's heart. He rejoices in the role and you can see how much he enjoys being this despicable person. That is more than acting and I'm not sure I can continue to watch. We're used to seeing the bad guy get his comeuppance and that isn't happening. It is also out of character for the primary actors to cower so that's a big part of what Morgan's Nagen is getting off on. It's nauseating. Cheers to the writers but I have a new negative opinion of this actor.

It's acting. Surely if he's making you feel that way, then he's doing a damn good job as an actor? Besides, it's been 3 episodes. You really want him to get his comeuppance already?!

I think he's phenomenal in the role personally.

Yes he's acting but there is something about him personally that is leaking through. I've seen him in many roles but he's never been as real in any role before. He's loving this as an actor and as a human being. Just watched the 4th episode and it reinforced what I think of him.

Opinion confirmed again. Watched JDM interview and he describes Nagen as cruel but charming. If he thinks that's charm, he is some kind of sociopath.

It's purely acting like the other commenter said! I seriously doubt jeffrey dean Morgan is an evil person just because he gives the best performance of his career playing an evil guy! He is hardly evil ffs!! His acting comes from his heart and his character is evil at heart. Jeffrey even replied to some woman liking him even more as negan. He replied by more or less saying that she is meseed up and probably need medical help.
The character of Negan is supposed to be an evil charming guy, kind of Ted bundy type of character. That's what jeff means. He's charming in an evil way. Like Not actually charming.... I hope u now feel somewhat different about jeffrey dean Morgan

You should really read the comics. He's simply playing the part of the character as it was written. If anything, this just shows he actually does his research before playing a role.

If you haven't heard Howard Stern's interview of Jeffrey Dean Morgan, you're really missing something!

I've found TWD difficult to get through, none of the characters popped. When I heard JDM would be involved I knew that would change. He's killing it as Negan, ever time he's on the screen I'm riveted. FINALLY, Jeffrey Dean Morgan gets the acclaim he's long deserved. And you can tell that he enjoys playing the role.

Negan follows the code of conduct of another charismatic scumbag. If Negan disturbs you so should his predecessor.
