Does Anybody Think That The Guy Is Juiced To The Gills?

Or, better put, how can anybody NOT think it? You don’t look that way without a prescription from Dr. Juice.

You know, steroids can cause your testicles to shrink, not that there’s anything wrong with that. Much.

whatever he was doing, he's doing less of it lately

reply

I agree he’s lost some size, and probably gained some good health in return. Good for him.

Hi aqua man

He's never had the popping veins that are the most obvious sign of steroid use, nor the changes in his facial structure that you get with human grown hormone use.

Oh, he probably uses something to help him get into top shape for shirtless roles or superhero roles, most young actors who play those roles do. But as he seems to be a naturally great big muscular guy, I don't think he's had to juice like some do.

If you're really curious about this issue, I'd be happy to spend a few more hours analyzing pictures of his muscles!

The real motive behind this topic is my concern that guys look at Jason and make invidious comparisons with themselves, and feel inferior. I’ve seen posts like that here on MC. MOST people of either gender THAT big are taking something. They are also working their butts off, but they are giving themselves something more than what nature did. I don’t like people feeling discouraged and unmotivated.

By the way, both medical personnel and gym rats comment on my Everest-sized veins, but I am juice-free and well-toned, but 5’8” and 150 pounds. My arm and shoulder veins result from many years on an upper-body ergometer.

One reason why I like Dolph Lundgren is because he has always been juice-free.

I'd be happy to test Momoa's genitals, if I could! Or do a blood test, anything to get close. That is one HOT man.

But yeah, we can only guess, and my guess is "Naturally large, and not juicing as much as Hugh Jackman". Now if you want to see the network of enlarged veins in unusual spots that are characteristic of steroid overuse, check out pictures of a shirtless Wolverine! What you look for in a juicer is the not enlarged large veins in the forearm or at the elbow, but huge popping irregular veins on the muscles themselves, on the biceps, pectorals, deltoid, etc. They aren't absolutely diagnostic, of course, because like I said, we can only guess.

Interestingly, Jackman claims that his cut and shredded physique as Wolverine resulted from deliberate and severe dehydration. So does death. I would be FASCINATED to read the notes of the personal trainers to action movie stars. “Intramuscular injection every other day. Two of the blue pills daily, at 12 hour intervals. Yellow pill daily, with food. Daily 400 mgs lean muscle protein. Rinse and repeat.”

reply

Yeah, I understand that competitive bodybuilders deliberately dehydrate themselves before competitions, to make the striations in the large muscles stand out like the ridges on corduroy. But dehydration doesn't make the little veins in your deltoids bulge up like an angry worm farm!

So yeah, I assume that any actor who gains muscle or shredding quickly for a role is using something his momma wouldn't approve of, no matter what he says. But the fact is, an actor who's willing to do whatever it takes to get a superhero's body by the time filming starts is going to take jobs away from the more health-oriented guy, and that's one of the many things hat makes me glad I'm not an actor. Some times they just have to do some unpleasant things to get that next job.

reply

Think of De Niro in Raging Bull, the shift from the flab to the cut, or, to a lesser extent, Toby McGuire in the original Spider-man. That’s just off the top of my head. I respect thespians who have the dedication to shift their bodies to suit their roles, although I may worry about their health.

"Some times they just have to do some unpleasant things to get that next job."

I bet that's what Jennifer Lawrence and Gwyneth said when they were blowing Harvey.

reply

The other reality is some people that get a trainer to help them get into a particular shape are doing steroid without actually being aware of it. Often times a trainer will have the person they are working with using "all natural" crap that is a sort of legal steroid and is legal to use... but which can cause liver and kidney problems because while the chemicals that make it work are safe when you get the amounts you would normally get from when the are found in foods, the amounts you are ingesting when you make a daily shake out of the powered form is way over the top.

If would not surprise me if Jackman had no clue what the trainer was having him eat or drink. Now with Momoa, he knows, the ridge just above his eye brows is a pretty good indicator that he was at one time juicing big time. Whether he still is or not who knows... but it's pretty clear he did at sometime in the past... is also very likely given his Hawaiian ancestry would give him a lot more tendency to just get fat rather than muscle mass. But some steroids would have helped him turn that fat tendency into muscle mass.

reply

Especially in Rocky IV. :D Don't be naive.

reply

Popping veins can come from nitrous oxide boosting supplements which increase blood flow, and available off the shelf at the local nutrition store. I use plenty of that myself, for this very result. And if you get below 10% body fat, those veins pop even more.

reply

No, he's not humongous like pro bodybuilders. And those of Pacific Island heritage seem to be more genetically predisposed to building thicker limbs.

reply

Oh he's humongous all right, but not grotesquely exaggerated like bodybuilders. He looks like a naturally great, big, beefy, solid, muscular guy (squeeeee!!), and I'm pretty sure that look is more natural to him than it is to most actors.

Did you know that right now some idiots are criticizing him for having "dadbod"? He's on vacation and was seen without clenching his abs to make them pop, and the jealous bitches of the internet are calling him fat and out of shape. Jeez, nobody sane stays ripped all the time, not even bodybuilders and fitness models.

I agree; I was about to say exactly the same thing about my observations on Hawaiian heritage/Pacific Islanders. There is a body type there that is just naturally large-framed and big, and although I know next to nothing about body builders and illicit methods of doing so, I would strongly suspect Jason being of that bloodline already naturally had that huge type of body that doesn't need artificial means to get that built.

His heritage, by that token, is another reason why other men should not look at that and feel frustrated that they can't get to look like that or would need substances to do so. He starts out genetically built big.

reply

Pacific Islander tend to be a much higher fat to muscle ratio than he is showing. He looks more like he's juiced up

reply

I like the threat title, juiced to the gills...because he is Aqua Man. Very good

reply

If he’s on any gear, it probably isn’t much and not all the time. Maybe to help out to get back into shape real quick for roles.
His physique is attainable without any PEDs.

DUDE WAS MAINLINING PINEAPPLE JUICE.
