Has anybody made mention of the fact that he was previously in Stargate: Atlantis and now he's going to play the king of Atlantis?

well, he hasn't changed his look in years. he has the long wild hair and usually has a beard, so he keeps getting cast in very similar roles. gone are the days when he played a clean shaven hunk on Baywatch, but alas the clean shaven hunk is still there behind the manly beast.
