Believe it or not, there was a time when Liza was more than a camp icon and a punchline, there were a few years when she was actually a good actress. Specifically, 1968 to 1972, when she made "The Sterile Cuckoo" and "Cabaret" and a few other films, and actually gave terrific performances!
Gone are the days, stardom ruined her as an actress.

shareThink what you wish. She always had a flair for comedy which went scarcely untapped over the years. Mitch Hurwitz was able to use that side of her very well and memorably in Arrested Development in its pre-Netflix incarnation.
