Why did she suddenly quit the movies?

Hi folks,
I wonder why Jody Medford wasn't active any longer, after having participated in only just 2 or 3 movies? Was it just bad luck - in other words, that she never got any roles offered to her? Or was it rather that she lost interest in the business and turned to another, more profitable, occupation?
I hope she hasn't died at a young age...
Anyone knows what became of her after the mid-1980s?
Any info appreciated!
