I'm in love with Al Swearengen!
Help me, I have a huge crush on this guy! I think Ian McShane's a great actor-loved him in "Lovejoy" and other projects, but it's his portrayal of Al that has got me all hot and bothered.
This man is so incredibly sexy! Those dark, brooding looks, that VOICE! Sigh. Even his cursing doesn't bother me because he's so damn cool. The man projects such power- he's downright scary at times. But what really makes him attractive is that even though he's so frightening and murderous, there's a sweet side to him. Those few times when he shows softness and kindess- such a turn on!!!! Come on, who wouldn't love a guy who nicely tells one of his hookers who's afraid she's contracted smallpox: "If you want, you can stick to hand jobs for a few days."
He's so funny, too. Remember at the trial for the killer of Hickock, it's going really slow and all of a sudden he says to Dan: "December."
Dan: "What?"
Al: "We're gonna be here til *beep* December!"
His impatient ways with E.B. are really funny, too.
