Hello! Anybody here?

Yes, it's me--with a very small change in my screen name, since I wasn't sure if using "tobian85" would cause problems.

Since those unspeakable jerks over at IMDb jumped the gun and closed down the MB's several hours ahead of time, I've been in a state of outrage mixed with near-despair.

However, I have high hopes that this website will provide all of us movie fans (and specifically JM fans) with at least some kind of forum to be going on with.

Thank you, MovieChat, for providing us with this space. It is much appreciated!

Hi there, I heart James McAvoy and MovieChat as well. :)

I never really posted on this board on IMDb, but I am here and a huge fan of James! Nice to see this place get some activity :)

We've all noticed the posts from IMDb which Jim archived. They have the older dates. So, I've been commenting to some of the older posts to 'help' bring them foward.

Using 'tobian85' wouldn't have been a problem. I'm using the same name as there. I never understood the socks, or whatever, folks mentioned using for dif accounts. I didn't comment on JM's board there 'cause I hadn't gotten around to it. I love every role he's undertaken though.

Have you seen Split?

reply

I have been looking forward to seeing it for awhile.

reply

I think he's a good actor and very charming. I want to see Split too. I hope it's good.

reply

I haven't seen it either. I'm sure my son's got it but haven't asked him yet. We (me, him, and my dil (daughter by decree)) usually have a movie night once in a while. It's time.

Looks like it's been a while on here, huh? Heh.

Anyways, I've been a fan since Wanted. His performance in said movie did it for me and over the years he's impressed me more and more. And whilst I've wanted to say it for a while, after seeing Split I'm ready to say McAvoy is in his own league. Helluva an actor!

Split was an average movie at best

reply

The movie wasn't grounbreaking or anything, but it was tense and well-made.

That said, McAvoy makes the whole movie (and maybe Willis' appearance at the end).

reply

his acting was very good - I didn't understand Willis' appearance at the end to honest - I know there is a Unbreakable sequel coming.
