I mean, she wasn't a blond. And she was actually this little short gal-- only 5'6. Lot of show biz moxie, though. Her laugh in Rock Hunter, that etched-glass starlet thing she does-- it's like "Jayne Mansfield" was something Vera Jayne Palmer created as a kind of ongoing character.

5'6 is short? Lol... I'm 5'2" so it's not short to me. :) She did seem more 5'8" than 5'6"...she towered over Mickey Rooney in that famous Golden Globes footage. She seemed so statuesque.
