I completely agree. He was the first actor I thought of when I heard they were making a movie. He's very tall and in amazing shape. Plus I think he could really pull off the role. He's done a great job in all the roles I've seen him in and they aren't that similar to each other

agreed 100% why the hell they cast Cruise? This guys matches the temperament and physique.

Agree - he's a match to my mental image of what Jack Reacher should look like.

Cruise had the natural screen charisma that made the character more engaging. Nothing against Manganiello but there's a reason he isn't one of the biggest superstars of all time, whereas Cruise is. He may have had the physical presence but Cruise had the charm.

I think this guy has the charisma to carry a movie, but what he doesn't have at this point is name recognition. Tom Cruise like him or not is still one of the biggest movie star in the world.
