1 year in a comfortable jail for this celebrity criminal.

reply

Not if she and her hubby keep up this kind of foolishness.

Loughlin and Giannulli's attorneys said in a filing late Wednesday that prosecutors provided them with notes from Rick Singer's iPhone, who is the alleged mastermind behind the bribery scam. Singer says in the notes that FBI agents yelled at him and told him to lie to get parents to say things in recorded phone calls that could be used against them.

The lawyers also say Singer's notes indicate that FBI agents told him to lie by saying he told parents who participated in the so-called “side door” scheme that the payments were bribes, not legitimate donations.

"The concern that the prosecution should have taking a case like this to trial with this evidence now being unveiled is why would the FBI infer that Mr. Singer lied to the subjects of the investigation, he continued.

Attorney David Shapiro -- who is not involved in the Loughlin case -- added, "From a defense attorney's perspective, that is something that they will feast on to argue that in this instance the FBI is reaching to prove a case that they might not be able to prove otherwise. The other element to it is whether or not you want to call the [money exhange] a donation or a bribe."

Of course, even if Singer told them it was a donation, ignorance of the law doesn't absolve anything, but if the FBI was pressuring Singer, that could prove interesting indeed.

So you’re saying she has a lot in common with her daughters. Rimshot!

reply

I was wrong. She got two months; her husband got five

She'll be out in two weeks tops and her husband in six.

reply

Isn't that the same sentence Felicity Huffman got who did make a deal?

reply

I think you're right. I mean, they're turning rapists and murders free because of covid so they can, well, murder and rape, so turning loose white collar criminals who would never be a threat to you or me makes more sense.

I have zero love for celebrities (being kind here), but if forced to look at this logically, Loughlin suffered more than Huffman (admittedly due to their obstinance, but still). Loughlin lost her current acting job and likely anything that may come along for many years, plus the embarrassment of being a pariah in a town known for degeneracy (Hollywood).

In addition to her loss of career, it also cost her a metric shitload of money to boot.

I'm good.

reply

Reasonable analysis, but with their net worth, the money was far from a shitload. Though it probably would have been less make an upfront donation.

reply

I don't know their net worth, but in addition to the money they "donated", they also had to pay a small village of lawyers for a year, probably a million or more.

Still, I get your point. From our point of view, if you still have 10 million in the bank when all is said and done, how bad can life be?

reply

According the internet, the couple's net worth is $70,000,000, plus income from the husband's business.

For them, a week in real jail would be worse than the total cost of this imbroglio. Heck, a week of living my lifestyle would be torture for them.

LOL

reply

Ur crazy.

She wont do time cause of Corona.

reply

Maybe not, certainly not the entire time. If she had taken the deal like Huffman, then I think it would be 100 percent home confinement due to covid, but since she busted their balls, they will do whatever possible to give her at least some token time behind bars.

reply

A lot less for any arrest to investigate without proof.

reply

To me the punishment fits the crime. How long should they got to jail for? They aren't violent offenders.

Shit, I've done a lot worse and just got probation.

A few weeks/months in jail may not seem like a long time. But it sucks when you're in there.

reply

For starters she’s not going to jail, your jail.

reply

You scum. 😂

reply

That's me!

reply

She’s going to a hotel resort but wont even do that because she might catch corona from waitresses.

reply

...once she meets her new cellmate Aunt Jessie.
