One Thing Nobody Is Mentioning...

If these parents will go to such extreme lengths in order to get their kids into the schools that they want, are they doing it for them because their kids are so super lazy and privileged OR do these parents really just think that their kid's don't actually have what it really takes to get into these popular schools by doing the old fashioned way?

So in essence, aren't they really sending a message to their kids by saying that they know they can't cut it on their own merit so they'll wipe their hiney's for them? I hope all they chew on that the next time these spoiled brats throw a temper tantrum....

Her daughter has a YouTube page and said that she hates school and doesn't really care for it. I think her mother paid for her to get in as a way for her to go because she wouldn't have applied to get in herself.

reply

Yes, I saw that video of her saying that on one of those rag shows on tv...unbelievable! And to think there are actually kids who would have loved to go there or whichever school was their choice but they were bumped out in favour of someone who had the coin to get in but not the smarts or desire to do it properly or fairly...

I think it was probably a compromise...I'll go to school mom and dad if I don't have to put the effort in to getting in there...sounds like the two girls just want the experience of being in school (parties, the fun stuff ) minus the studying...having Amazon and other companies send her bedding and products to review does not qualify her for entering college...

I haven't paid much attention to either daughter but it seems like the one girl would rather just be an influencer on Youtube...there is nothing wrong with doing fashion and makeup and stuff...she could have gotten a job with a salon or attended a school that would have properly met her needs in that area....go and do fashion merchandising in college or go to school for cosmetology...she could have parlayed that into maybe working with costumes on a move set or for a fashion designer or whatever...you get my point...

I'd like to know what they were majoring in???

Are you a WWE fan?

reply

No. My name is a reference to Lock, Stock & Two Smoking Barrels.

reply

Ah...well there is a wrestler with the WWE whose name is Samoa Joe....just thought it was so close....

reply

I get that question a lot.

reply

Yes, I bet you do...sorry

You're lucky. I was just about to challenge you to a no-holds barred, rage-in-the-cage, barbed wire match for the Interdimensional Heavyweight Belt!

There is some irony in all this because if you're the child of a rich celerity (or a rich or affluent non celebrity) then the connections to have a successful life and career are already in place. They already exist.
These kids would never have to struggle in any endeavor as any person from a lower status or working class family would have to.

So I suppose they wanted to "prove" their children as deserving of all their privilege by providing the credentials to prove their worthiness of the status that they take for granted.
Big fail.

All this proved... from the conservative stance of the rich working so hard for all that they have and that the poor or middle class should just pull themselves up by the bootstraps and they too can have the same opportunity and success.....is a bunch of hooey.
It's all about status these days and it can all be bought for a price.
That's the catch.
It's like credit...hard to get unless you already have it.

These families had all of the opportunities ahead of everyone else and they still chose to screw the system....shame on them...

I think Lori will suffer the consequences the most...Felicity will rebound faster than Lori...I think that Lori's kids are being shunned and or ridiculed online but I mean is anyone surprised?

I sure hope they all don't go on Dancing With The Stars or Celebrity Big Brother...good lord...

Success is about who you know or who you blow, always has been, always will be. Getting into the "right" school isn't about the education, it's about the connections you make in school and about the perception of graduates.

reply

Yup, you know it....who you know and who you blow...

Always has been nepotism always will be nepotism.

Both, and yep!

I think these parents just wants to save face, most of their kids are pretty average, they don't want their peers to think that they screwed up. If I were a ceo and my kid was average, my coworkers and underlings might question my abilities. If you are so smart, how come your kid isn't?

Ordinary people would not go this far but if you are successful you have to maintain a brand.

reply

Exactly!
