I'm sarting to admire this man's work

I just finished Margaret, and Kenneth Lonnergan inspired me to keep pursuing my career as a filmmaker.

I still have to watch Gangs of New York, but You Can Count on em has that solemn melancholic feel, and Margaret is his biggest project and you can tell he poured his soul into it (I've only seen the theatrical cut)

What does everyone thing of his work? Hate it, love it? What about Margaret, whats everyone's opinion on this film?

On this night, join me and confront your fate

Just finished watching You Can Count On Me and Margaret extended cut and thought both were fantastic films! Some of the best American cinema of the last couple decades in my eyes. This guy is brilliant, it's just that he hasn't directed many films.

He is an awesome writer-director. He knows to build characters and make you feel for them with such ease. You should watch 'You Can Count on Me' which I thought was similar to 'Manchester by The Sea' in terms of mood and directing. And similar in writing. His movies have a heart above all and I really like the mood he creates. It makes you feel what the characters feel.
