Lindsay Lohan converts to Islam moves to Dubai

I don't think she will ever be a big movie star again.

If she wants to stay sober and live until she's old, that would be best.

Considering their laws on drinking and drugs, she would have no choice. They don't offer community service for offenses, and the jails do not have revolving doors, and being a US citizen doesn't give you a lot of special privileges.

Hmm, well, it was just denied, but IDK how many times her reps have said something and it turned out to be false.

Do you suppose she knows that the Koran gives men authority over women and even allows men to beat women? (Verse 4:34.)

reply

Well, she's never been the brightest of the bunch.

I can already see Robot Chicken (strange reference, I know, but it just came to mind) lampooning this...

1. It's the Quran, not the Koran.

2. She has read the entire Quran and knows Islam better than you. You never read one. If you did you would know this quote doesn't even exist except in anti-Islamic sites. Read the whole Quran instead of visiting uneducational websites.

3. The Arabic word "idribuhunna" is taken out of context in that verse. The word "idribuhunna" also means to "leave" them. It is exactly like telling someone to "beat it" or "drop it" in English. So the verse talks about when if a man or a woman argue, the man should drop it or leave the house.

i have asked arab linguists, arab scholars, wuran scholars, islamic scholars & ordinary graduates of arabic from saudi arabia-all agree that this means beat or hit.

the people I asked includes two apostates, one committed muslim who's also very modern & liberal in his thinking, a regular ole arabian sunni-all say that if muhammad had meant "leave them" the sentence would be grammatically very ill, to say the least.
