Her performance in "Men Don' Tell"

Wow, Judith was downright terrifying in her rather unique role as a spousal abuser.

Her character, Laurie, abuses her kind husband both physically & emotionally, and goes off the handle at little provocation.

Brilliant film that was ahead of its time, it still is in fact.
Outrageously, its been banned from any replay because of asinine so-called 'women's groups' who protested over its depiction of *gasp* a woman as an abuser!
Despicable that the networks would agree to this!

From what I read, it was just that: That it 'vilified women' and 'made light of women as victims'.

What utter crap!!!! A man can be a victim same as a woman! While I agree its easier, physically at least, for a man to escape/fight back, its ludicrous that ANY woman would object to this film!

How DARE the networks go along with such *beep*

I've actually seen most of this movie, and she was pretty scary! I'm surprised that it wasn't aired after the original run, though.

Focusing on male victims does not diminish the suffering of female victims. Those women's groups were severely misguided.

According to the NYTimes, the film has been rebroadcast a number of times on Lifetime networks. I really wanted to find out more, but a Google search pulled up no evidence that the film was "banned" by the networks for the reasons you mentioned. If it's true, I totally agree with your comment. But some evidence would be nice.

I've never seen it re-broadcast.

And if you watch the film on YouTube, there is a narrator that makes mention of the Women's Group's protests, etc.
