His role as Jim's Dad makes me tear up...

I don't know why but his fantastic comedic scenes aside, the way he looks, acts and behaves with Jim during the emotional scenes, before the prom and wedding just makes me emotional. The love his character has for his son really comes through and that's testament to the talent of Eugene Levy.

Haha, yep... He's gotten me a couple of times in his role of Jim's dad too. American Pie 2 was just on the other day, and the part where Jim super glues his hand to his d**k, and his dad brings him home from the hospital-- and before Jim goes back inside, his dad mentions something about not telling his mom about the super glue deal, and Jim says, "I don't know how I keep getting myself into these things," (or something like that), and then he looks at his dad and says, "Thank you... You've been really cool about all of this." And I'm not gonna lie-- when Jim says that, it cuts back over to a shot of his dad, and the look on his face has gotten me a couple of times over the years when I've watched that movie... It's kinda getting me now, just thinking about it lol.

He's a good actor, and he's pretty funny. Admittedly, I know nothing about him as a person-- but just based on the characters that I've seen him play in various movies over the years-- he just seems like a good dude. I know that his roles don't equal who he really is, but he seems like one of those people that you can just tell are alright.
