I've seen this mentioned before. He would be great. And, of course, Stephen Fry would make the perfect Dr. Watson to his Holmes!

I actually think it would be better the other way around with Fry playing Sherlock and Laurie playing Watson. Plus I don't think Laurie would ever want to play Sherlock given it's close parallels with a character he has already played - House.

I can't see Stephen as either Holmes or Watson tbh... I think he's a perfect Mycroft though :)

There are many nods to Sherlock Holmes in House. One good example, he lives at 221B just like Sherlock.
