Brie Larson has a seven film contract with Marvel.

What movies will she possibly be in besides Captain Marvel and Avengers: Endgame?

reply

Captain Marvel made a billion, but it had the advantage of being sandwiched between the hugely popular Avengers movies.

I read that she's been annointed the new leader of the Avengers. It'll be interesting to see how those movies do along with her future solo movies. I guess when you have a Brie Larson in your movies, you don't want to risk her leaving anytime soon!

reply

My guess a trilogy for CM so that's two more movies down the pipe. Plus whatever future AVENGERS movies they do, she'll probably be in them.

reply

Well Captain Marvel 2 is a given. And a third one. Even with diminishing returns that's a no brainer. And the next big crossover movie. I'd bet good money we'll see her in one of the Spider-man movies. And they won't do a crossover movie without her, they'll surely be another one of those for her.

reply

Ugh...

Marvel could give it a rest for a couple years. If they oversaturated the market, they'll become mundane.

If Marvel ever gets around to a Kree v Skrull War or some other cosmic adventure I would expect Captain Marvel.

Also a Fantastic Four cameo would be outstanding!

The first Captain Marvel movie was more or less the Kree vs Skrull War.

The first Captain Marvel movie was more or less the Kree vs Skrull War.
Technically that would be right but there was very little of the War going on and the reversal of the Skrulls being any sort of a threat or a danger to anyone was removed from that film.

Captain Marvel's position as being duped by the Kree was more personal and not many in the audience picked up on the greater implication of the Kree manipulation so the scale of the Kree/Skrull War was minimized. Plus you'd think that in the twenty something years since her awakening the Kree would be in an all-out war against her also.

reply

Yeah, I hope they do more with it. In the comics, the Skrulls were originally peaceful thousands of years ago but became militant and paranoid due to Kree attacks, so maybe we'll see that play out. I'm not a fan of goodguy Skrulls. Their abilities are much more interesting when they're bad guys.

The next CM is supposed to involve Michael Korvac, which implies the Korvac Saga. We'll probably get more Kree stuff out of it, though.

I would like to see a Brie and Florence Pugh movie.

reply

What do you want them to do in the movie?

reply

Be another Avenger team. Spiderman,Antman,Hawk.

reply

Sounds cool. Maybe Florence and Brie could engage in some intimate lesbo stuff.

reply

Its Marvel so most likely it will be Spiderman and Antman doing the siscoring.

reply

Wish they cast a better actress

reply

I don't think it is just the actress that is the problem; the character is just to powerful and doesn't fit in well with the Marvel Universe; on top of that they made her extremely boring in terms of character and her 'development' in the first Captain Marvel was almost like backwards; with all the stuff about her being too emotional and that it is holding her back but then it turns out embracing her emotions made her powerful but she doesn't really respond emotionally to anything by films end. For example rather than fighting Yon-Rogg and using her emotions to defeat him or become stoic and focus and demonstrate that emotions were a weakness; no she just nonchalant blasts him and its over. Yea, the was REAL exciting development.

But my point is; she is just dull in addition to Brie Larson just being relatively nasty and smug in her interviews just makes everything about his character unlikable. And they did no favors by trying to shoehorn her into the Avengers; her story should have waited until after Endgame; it was so obvious they couldn't make her work in Endgame too they had to contrive a reason for her to be notably absent for nearly the entire film.
