Captain Marvel Monday box office drop worse than Batman vs Superman

I don't see any real competition for its second weekend so I'm guessing it will do pretty well this weekend.

there's a couple of slightly misleading elements to that story in your link.

1) batman v superman's first monday fell on easter weekend, so that was a holiday for most people, resulting in i higher than usual box office haul that day.

2) bvs's sunday was lower than captain marvel's. as you may recall, bvs opened with an enormous friday, but the grosses fell off saturday, & even further sunday as word got out that the film was not a crowd-pleaser.

so captain marvel had a higher sunday gross (39m vs 34m), even though bvs made $12.5m more that first weekend in total, and cm had a non-holiday monday. naturally it will have a steeper decline as a percent of sunday to monday gross.

not sure what kind of website you're following, but they either aren't doing a good job of figuring out why the numbers are the way they are, or they are trying to be deceptive for some reason.

It'll pick up over the weekend. It's still hitting the 11-14m per day for the time being. Wonder if it'll hit around my predicted 650m WW (of the 750m from before her displeasure of white men came to light).
