Why Are Brie Larson’s Characters Always So Sad?

We rank Brie Larson’s cinematic repertoire according to bleakness, from Sleepover to The Glass Castle.

Probably because she can emote the sadness of the situation BUT her characters have an inner strength and sense of hope that pulls them through. Kristen Stewart could be labeled as a sad actress as well, but seems too aloof as opposed to Brie who you want to reach out and hug.

I agree with you on Stewart
