Deserved oscar last year????

I personally believe she was most definitely deserved of her award: I have made a compilation of the best actress nominees for the Oscars 2016. I would HUGELY appreciate it if you guys could watch it and give me any feedback at all in the comments :)

I tried to edit so that you get a true sense of character depth, I hope you will see what I mean.

No.

I agree. To me it was seemed to be a performance to pander for awards, not a particularly moving performance. Room was boring.

She was good and deserved it.

How was ROOM boring? You could only say that if you didn't get the message. The film wasn't all about Ma/Joy and Jack trying to escape. It was about escaping to a dramatic homecoming, where Jack missed the place that he grew up for the first 5 years of his life, and Ma/Joy was suffering from depression, PTSD, etc., and the film was about dealing with the pain of the real world. Nonetheless, the message of this incredible film is a beautiful one: NOTHING is more powerful than the power of love and the special bond between a mother and a child.

And before you use the BS term "Oscar bait," ROOM was actually based on a bestselling novel released back in 2010, and it was my most anticipated film of 2015. I have been a MASSIVE fan of Brie Larson for a few years. She deserved that overdue Oscar. Her performance was a BEYOND INCREDIBLE, PHENOMENAL one, and her performance in Short Term 12 was just as incredible, which sadly got ROBBED by the Academy. Bottom line, SO GLAD that Brie Larson won her more than deserved, overdue Oscar. She is a BEYOND INCREDIBLE, PHENOMENAL ACTRESS, and an incredibly sweet and warm person too.

Yes she did. That Oscar was overdue. Her performance in Short Term 12 was about just as incredible and phenomenal as in ROOM. Glad that Brie is FINALLY starting to get the credit that she MORE than deserves. I've been a fan for a while. ROOM was actually my most anticipated film of 2015.
