Casey didn't do anything that BadI don't want to sound like "that guy" but, having read up on both cases (i.e., have read the actual complaints, not just the web-editorializing) and then read your question, I can't help but have a borderline PC/SJW reaction to it. I can certainly see why someone would say "It wasn't that bad" but seriously, if my wife (or daughter) was subjected to that BS at work, I wouldn't be able to write it off so easily. Sure, sure, he didn't eat children but what he DID do would be completely unacceptable in any situation, but we make excuses because he's a celebrity.

It's not like people are suddenly accusing him of things now that he has Oscar chances coming up. This court case against him was ongoing for 6 years!
He wasn't as rich and famous 6 years ago. These women had good careers, and plenty of people willing to give them good references. Usually, if you try to sue for sexual harassment, it can end your career and have powerful people and their friends blacklist you, not make your career better. This woman was also a producer and not some jobless chick trying to get famous and live the TMZ lifestyle. It's much more likely Casey Affleck was taking advantage of his status, instead.
Even if you don't believe there's proof he tried to grab her inappropriately, there's probably proof he didn't pay her for her producing credit. It looks like he put off paying her for years, and only settled it in court. She has emails from more than one source congratulating her for doing a great job producing. Casey never released a statement saying he did in fact pay her, and it was just a misunderstanding. He only released a generic statement saying something like "people are being so negative now, I only want to focus on the positive." Or something to that effect. An argument could also be made that there's no proof that he held off paying her specifically because he was holding a grudge against her for rejecting his sexual advances. But 6 years and no pay is just petty.
The media isn't even talking about the allegations, they're purposefully ignoring it because they decided he's likable and they want him to be a bigger star in the future. It's just like any time a college swimmer with a scholarship gets caught raping a girl, and journalists post their lap times and scores in the newspaper like "isn't it a shame he's gonna lose his scholarship now, he can swim 10 laps in 3 minutes and 30 seconds!'
