I hate this douche bag so much...

This poor excuse for a human being took a perfectly nuanced term from the world of writing--"Mary Sue"--and turned it into some stupid Incel meme, so that angry little millennial male neckbeards like him can now cry whenever they see a woman in an action movie, "Wahhhh! I got muh James Bond, muh Batman, muh Fast and Furious, muh Jason Bourne, muh Jack Reacher, muh 15 million other male power fantasy movies that go vroom vroom screeeeeech KABOOM!!! Why woman in action film? Why woman in comic book movie? WOKE SJW BULLSHIT! No woman in film! She Mary Sue!"

Now, thanks to him, we're this close to going back to an age of cinema and video games when women were nothing more than window dressing, because an ugly gnome like him was so filled with anger and resentment against women, he had to infect other males with his anger. He had to plant a seed, had to plant a meme that whenever you see any action or comic book movie with a female protagonist, it's all propaganda, cynical bullshit, feminazism in action.

I don't care if someone is a jerk, an asshole, a fink, whatever. If you keep your assholery to a bare minimum (where the worst you do is tick people off), you're fine by me. Just don't leave the world a worse place than you came in. Don't, in other words, do things that are going to leave a long-lasting negative impact on society even after you die. Landis violated this rule, and that's why, in spite of not knowing him personally, I hate him. I hate how he's brainwashed young males to think like him. I hate how he dumbed down the term, "Mary Sue" and transformed it into an Incel meme. I hate how whenever any movie or video game has a female character, millions of his trained seals bark that it's just a cynical woke SJW movie with a Mary Sue.

I know that what I say doesn't matter a hill of beans and that he'll never read it or that if he read it, he wouldn't care, anyway. This rant gives me the satisfaction of being the one person who isn't enamored with this douche bag and sees him for what he is.

This guy's has been accused by every woman in Hollywood of sexual harassment. I don't care if he hasn't gone to court yet to prove his innocence. You don't get accused from that many women and be innocent.

reply

It's not just sexual harassment. Allegedly, psychological abuse and in one case, sexual assault.

reply

Isn't he gay?

reply

No. He is straight.

Every picture of him makes me want to punch him more.

reply

Yeah, everything about the guy just screams narcissist and sociopath to me. From hearing him talk, Max clearly loves himself a great deal and for all the crappy films he's written, he's clearly at least SOMEWHAT intelligent. When you take his upbringing into account, he's likely a very spoiled, pampered kid who learned how to be manipulative and deceitful to get what he wants from a young age, who now uses his newfound clout in Hollywood to seduce and later abuse women.

reply

He's that typical person who grew up in Hollywood and thinks he's entitled to whatever he wants. He's directing the remake to "An American Werewolf in London" and I hope it flops. His dad is an asshole too.

reply

I don't think he is going to ever be involved in anything. From all the horror stories about his abuse of women, I think his career is rightfully over.

reply

If IMDB is accurate, he's set to write and direct the remake of his father's classic, An American Werewolf in London. It'll be interesting to see if this comes to pass. Multiple women have made pretty serious accusations against him.

reply

He may have written a draft, but he will not be credited in any way unless his father forces the makers to give him a producer credit. Even then the crew will try to distance themselves from him as much as possible. Also, why do we need a remake of this film? The original was a good film, but Hollywood is lazy so...

reply

You would think, even with his connections. We've seen people who still won't be hired by Hollywood who were accused of less.
