Keira to Return to Pirates?

Sorry, but I won't believe it until she actually confirms it. She has been adamant about not returning to Pirates, so if she decided to do a cameo, that would be really surprising to me.

Although, given she's filming the Nutcracker for Disney, I suppose she may have been persuaded to film a few scenes.

right, the Disney connection makes me think it's possible.

and you know, she can always change her mind on the Pirates thing. people change their minds all the time. if they offered her a lot of money, it's certainly possible.

and fwiw, apparently there's some word going around that this Pirates movie is surprisingly the best one since the first. now that could be totally wrong, but IF that's true (maybe this new director figured out how to right the ship, so to speak), then it could rejuvenate enthusiasm for the series with audiences, sort of like the later F&F movies did.

in that case i could actually see a lot of people getting excited about reuniting the original trio for the next one.

i would be too. IF this one turns out decent (because the last one was really bad).

I can't see her doing it because of the money. She usually doesn't care about the money when she takes on projects. She's made her fortune long ago.

Yes, I think the reason this is plausible is the Disney connection.

well, there's been only one movie after the third. it's not like they've made tons of them since then.

Orlando Bloom came back for this one too, so i could believe it if they wanted to reunite the original cast for a scene at the end.

Maybe because Orlando came back, they were able to persuade Keira to film something as well. I've always loved Will and Elizabeth, so I'm hoping this is true.

The information in that article is so detailed that I think it's probably true. But it sounds like something very short. Perhaps like the Geoffrey Rush appearance at the end of the second one.

The impression I have from her earlier comments is that she didn't enjoy making the pirates sequels very. And that it was because it took a very long time to do and they didn't have a finished script for much of it so she had no idea what was going on much of the time.
None of those things would apply to a brief cameo, so I could see how she might be persuaded to do it.

I wonder who leaked it, though. Surely not the studio. And it does rather spoil what could have been a real surprise.

the story's definitely been posted on some very credible news outlets now. and yeah, it's specific enough in the details of the shoot that i think it's probably true, too
