Name change

I kinda wish she would've stuck with it, just for the uniqueness, but whatever.

yeah i liked it as james. i remember when she first started getting noticed as a model. i used to tape fashion television on vh1 every week back when i was in middle school, they'd do these long profiles on designers or models and they did a segment on her when she was 16, i have it on video somewhere. i remember thinking how chill she was & how cool the name james was for a girl, she was kind of a badass in a privileged teenage delinquent sort of way. i think her reasoning for the name thing was her modelling agency's biggest star was also named jamie and she wanted to set herself apart. anyways i agree, it works for a female model but not an actress. too confusing. not too surprised she's found moderate success in the acting dept

I really loved her name as James. whenever i talk about her i still use the name James. i wish she would have kept it! Jamie King to me just dosen't sound right. Anyways she is really cool and i wish i had that tape of her because she is my favorite moddel andsuch a badass chick!

I actually read an interview with her once where she was asked why she is named James and she explained about being named Jaime after the bionic woman, but her family always called her James. A nick-name, I'm assuming, so she just stuck with it.

how come Jaime king doesn't sound right to you? I did that too for awhile whenever she was in a movie and it said Jaime king I would think james king. I can not accept her name as Jaime king and will never accept her name as Jaime king even if that is her real name. she lost so much respect from me and became so less special and unique when she changed her name. what tape were you talking about?

the first memory I have of her is on MTV back in either 1999 or 2000. she was so unique acting and looking. she had an alternative personality and she struck me as so unique, lovely, and beautiful. if there was such a thing as an alternative model, then she was it. kind of like a suicide girl. she had a free spirit way of acting. her name was so unique and special to me years ago when she went by james. I hated how she changed it when she became an actress. it infuriated me and made me mad at her for doing this. and it made her so less special and unique to me when she did this for her acting career.

what did you mean by badass in a privileged teenage delinquent sort of way? man, oh man I have to see that video. how can I find it on you tube? what is the name of the program that was on VH1?
