He had one more year on his contract, and they fired him because his post-production on a Schwarzenegger movie would bleed over into the early part of the SNL season this fall??

SNL has made allowances for this sort of thing in the past.

Killam is nearly everybody's favorite cast member from the last few years --- what the hell is NBC thinking??

Well, it may benefit Killam's career, but SNL won't be helped by his exodus... it can't!

Lorne does weird BLEEP like this every so often. He's just guessing at this point.

Taran and Jay have been there for 6 years. Lorne probably feels like it's time to get some new blood in there. But how about some new blood in the writer's room?
